The Joseph
Storehouse
Located in Bromsgrove, The UK Joseph Storehouse is
managed by two very nice people - Graham and Annette Palmer - plus volunteers,
Christians from all round the country giving their time to this totally front
line aid work.
The Storehouse occupies part of the old Barnsley Hall
site, and serves as a main collection centre, gathering in aid, in the form of clothing, household goods, toiletries, medical supplies etc from about 30 locations all over the UK.
Goods are sorted and packed ready for shipment, a container
load at a time, as they are able to complete a 20 pallet consignment.
These shipments are delivered to The Joseph Storehouse
international aid centre operating in the Judean Hills just outside of
Jerusalem.
The Joseph Storehouse freely provides aid to the poor and
needy people, both Jewish and Arab, living in the nation of Israel today. Many
of them are struggling as orphans and widows, homeless and handicapped, senior
citizens and geriatric patients as well as new immigrants and victims of
terrorism and their families.
The goal of Joseph Storehouse is to be a source of emergency
assistance to the entire community of Israel, whether Jewish, Arab or
Christian, a channel of God's love and mercy through the distribution of a full
range of items such as emergency medical equipment, food, toiletries, clothing
and other necessities.
The Joseph Storehouse also warehouses supplies for times
of emergency in the land of Israel. A number of CCM members have helped in the past, with
specific calls for work days at Bromsgrove. And there is always an opportunity
for more volunteers. Could you spare some time in the week to help with this
work? With your extra help in sorting and packing of goods for shipment, aid
can reach Israel sooner, meeting the needs of so many people in very needy
situations.
http://www.visionforisrael.com/ will tell you more about
this work, and I do recommend watching the video report "Touching Lives" which
you can view from the website.
Please give this important work some thought and prayer, and
if you have any questions or you are interested in getting involved, please
speak to me any time.
